| Description | This BAD peptide is biotinylated at the N-terminus through 6-aminohexanoate (LC) as a spacer. Bad peptide is a pro-apoptotic member of the Bcl2 family. Dephosphorylated Bad forms heterodimers with Bcl-XL and Bcl-2, blocking their anti-apoptotic effects. Inactive Bad is phosphorylated at Ser112, Ser136, and Ser155. The phosphorylation status of Bad represents a fundamental checkpoint for apoptotic death or cell survival. |
