Description | Peptide sequence KKRFSFKKSFKL is derived from amino acid residues 154 €“165 of myristoylated alanine-rich C-kinase substrate (MARCKS) protein phosphorylation site domain (PSD). It retains the first two of the four serine residues in the PSD. This peptide is proven to be a generic substrate for protein kinase C (including PKCα and β, naturally-occurring PKC δ, ε, and θ, as well as atypical PKC ξ) at Ser5 and Ser9, even though atypical PKCs do not utilize intact MARCKS as a substrate. |
